Post Is this Lightning thing a sickness?

I am obsessing on this truck. From the moments I laid eyes on one, I had to have it.

I got it, and now all I want to do is drive it, polish it, talk about it, and drive it some more.

My wife is jealous, my kid thinks I've flipped out and my mother-in-law thinks it's all very funny.

I met a guy about three blocks from me, who's had one for 3 months, and he's just as bad.

Tonight I followed a '99 Cobra to see if he'd take a run at me. He did, and I almost wet myself.

I bought a bottle of detailer, for crying out loud. I put towels on the freaking floor mats. I've already talked the wife into letting me rent a storage garage for the winter.

Will this stop? Will I get better?

I hope not.

Regards,
Gordon

Red one. No mods (yet).

as more products become available for her, chips, shift kit, etc, she will start nagging you, like SVT123 has a new superchip, i want one too!, and you will give in (cause she looks so good), that's how it started w/my ram v-10, and $18k worth of jewelery later she still looks good and can still show my new mistress her tailgate , anytime she wants,(yes this is definately a disease)

SHE:
* Loves an occasional bath but prefers to shower with me in the driveway.
* Appreciates it when I dry her with soft cotton towels in the garage (away from curious neighbors) immediately after her shower, remembering to pay attention to each minute curve and recess.
* Thanks me for applying skin moisturizers to prevent aging damage.
* Shows off her feet after I've rubbed them with fragrant oil.
* Looks good wearing anything but better yet in a bright red dress.
* Likes an occasional drink but demands 'the good stuff' when we go out on the town.
* Only whines when drinking a lot.
* Enjoys leisurely strolls through the park but prefers periodic sprints.
* Will eat most anything.
* Hates waiting at traffic lights.
* Loves getting to the next traffic light ASAP!
* Dislikes others that are loud, obnoxious, and dressed up with no where to go.
* Still amazes me after two months of seeing each other every day.

How do I explain to my wife of 28 years that there's a new 'girl' in town?

There IS a cure for sure. It has something to do with the depth of your pockets.....

I have been in remission from time to time over the years but old habits die hard.

The only cure I can think of would be constant exposure so you can build up enough anti-bodies to become immune. Once this happens, the next step is the 2K model, where again, you will have to maintain constant contact to build a tolerance to the fever. With two of these honies in the garage, your wife will leave and you'll have room for a third.

On second thought, you're right. It's a disease. There is no cure and you may as well enjoy what time you have left (until the aftermarket goodies wipe out your bank accounts). Better to have gotten addicted to heroin, at least there is treatment for that.

Sicker than hell, and loving every minute of it!

I told myself when I bought this truck, I would not do what I have done to all my other vehicals, which is to leave it alone.

But then I met HDMLNIUM and saw his truck,he told me to meet him at the track friday night. That was all it took, I was hooked. I had never even been to a drag strip before.

Just take a look at my sig.

Thumbs up

Wyldman:

Ain't that the truth...

Since we've been at it since 1999, I think we can consider it a long-term illness?
