Trip from Hell,99.5 in shop, and Chip time!!!
Long header.......well even longer post...Here is why I have been AWOL...Bill and several of the others here, sorry but didn't get to see guys....heres why, (shorter version)....left for my trip to New Mexico to pick up a 63 Vette roadster...as I was checking in hotel in NM, got a call from the Restorer that the car caught fire during my flight out of Atlanta...saw the car and just about died...the fire had destroyed this beauty. Made arraingments to fly back (instead of driving the 63) to Savannah the next day...but.....came down with Gout that night...had to be wheelchaired by my 17 yr old son through four airports to get home, 20 hours later...anyway bad trip and week long recovery!
All is well now, but did have to put the 99 in the shop early in the week to repair a broken seat latch on the passenger side. While there, I commented to the Service Manager and the two SVT mechanics about the new Superchips Chip and they were as excited about getting to see it in the 99 as I was...so don't think I have to worry about possible warranty problems in the future!! Anyway did call Mike today and placed my order. I found Mike to be as friendly and helpful over the phone as I thought he would be. It's great being able to do business with someone that not only knows and believes in his product, but also is pleasant to talk to. Thanks Mike and hope to catch you guys next time...there is another mid-year out there waiting for me.......sorry for the long post.......Tybee

Very sorry to hear about the gout attack. I too suffer from gout in the feet and can certainly feel your pain.
I feel even more for the deceased '63 Vette roadster (even a Ford guy can like a Vette, it's in the rules, hehe), had you purchased it already? I hope not.

Honest to God Tybee, I was going to put out an APB on you. We were really worried.
Sorry about the Corvette, but at least it burned there and not on the way. Would have been a lot worse trying to drive that Roadster home with the gout and then having it self destruct out there somewhere.
Get the message, 'migo, the man upstairs does not want you to drive the General's stuff. Go get chipped and live.
