Just spoke to Level 10 and they have already got some goodies for our new Lightnings.

They already have the shift kit for the tranny, $149.95 (incl s&h, ordered one); a torque converter they claim will take .8 off of 1/4 mile times, $785.00; and a program chip that fixes the shifts, increases boost 3 lbs., and changes to F/A, and timing too, $375.00 (but they want the computer code off of the door sill tag).

They made no claims about specific performance changes (except as mentioned above)and I got run off the phone by the rep because thier lines lit up all of a sudden. I can verify this because I tried to call back and talk to thier NLOC rep for further info, and it's been busy for an hour+.

Just fun things to know and learn, I've had real good experiences with these folks on my 95 4.6l Thunderbird and gambled that they may have already started on the new Lightnings. For once, it paid off.

This is how it always starts, but this time i'm having all ups next day air shipment made to my office, that way my wife won't even know i'm buying for my "new" mistress.

 

The Level 10 chip does not raise the boost whatsoever. It's the Superchip, under an OEM deal, they are allowed to put their name on it.

Superchips supplies hardware and/or software to many of today's "chipmakers". There are extremely few chipmakers who aren't buying something from Superchips, simply because they invented the business, along with most of the highly specialized real-time data devices that are requried to reverse engineer these factory applications.

Superchips is the only manufactuer in the world today supplying the 2-program Flip Chip for the new Lightning.

Wyldman, please give us a report on that shift kit, when you get it installed, does it come with a video? i've done a few transgo's, i imagine it's something similar.

 

I'll be happy to relay what I find with the shift kit. It'll be a few more days before it gets here. Right now, I'm camped out on my own doorstep, waiting for the UPS guy to get here w/my SuperChip (drool, drool, slurp, oops, sorry, not on the truck, hehe)

Can the OBII computer confirm installation of your chip.

If so can it be removed and by disconecting the battery to wipe the memory?
