Post K&N Air Filter

For those you interested, talked to "Chris" at K&N and he said the replacement for the 99.5 Lightning air filter(Ford part#FA1682) will be around Dec.

Some dude ran his sans filter at the strip after several back to back runs to establish baseline performance. He stated and
posted times that were same as with the stock filter in place. Just some info.....

I heard from Roger Lemere that Airaid will have a system available within the next two months. I forwarded info to Roger about the concern with filter oil contaminating the sensor. I also passed this information on to Pro-Flow here in the Michigan area. One of their claims to fame is aftermarket air meters.

These toys draw a tremendous amount of air under WOT and I'm not surprised that the filter oil can be easily displaced. I pulled my stock filter at 2500 miles for general inspection and it looked like it already had 10K miles on it. Hopefully someone develops an application that won't do more harm than good.

Thanks for listening.
