No problems with my a/c. On the normal mode it blows at around 45 degrees out the vents...in the max mode its in the high 30's and thats in 90 plus outside temps. My 99 can damn near ice you out even in the dog days of summer heat. I have the factory tonneau so far so good. Once its trashed I think I'll get a ARE or Snugtop. Jeff

Like Jeff, my '99 will freeze your eyelashes off at high noon here in central Florida. No prob at all with the AC.

Regarding remote roll-top lids, I came close to buying the one made by Pace Edwards. Nice unit. Costs $600-$650. Check out their website at http://www.shadeofday.com/paceroll.htm .

Instead, however, I went with a hard fiberglass lid made by A.R.E. It looks and works great! High quality and a lifetime warranty. Their website is at http://www.4are.com/ .

While I'm at it, I'll put in a plug for the BedRug bed liner. I love it and it's also guaranteed for life. They can be found at http://www.bedrug.com/ .

Thumbs up

I have looked at the Specialty Cover and have seen their "demo" truck a number of times over the past year or so. It looks good and takes up very little space in the bed. I opted for a soft tonneau for now, but I may upgrade in the future.
I also have a BedRug installed and it is outstanding!
