Gingerman Results !!!
Thanks to all the Lightning's that raced this weekend
at Gingerman!!! We had a BLAST!!! Rides in the FORD GT,
great prizes and Gifts, Steve and the lovely Miss Rita in the
SVT trailer bring great vehicles for all to see.
Oh, and the driving was perfect. No wrinkled sheet metal,
great lap times. Lot's of beer and great friends.
The corner workers were VERY good, and black flagged the
Bolt's when the brakes caught on fire (A lot of them did!!!)
Gingerman is HELL on brakes!!!
I ran with the FORD GT for several laps and since the engineer
driving it wasn't a "seasoned" open tracker, I have a great
video of me pushing him around the course for several laps
and finally taking the point by !!! (WOOT! as ROB would say!!)
Will try to get the video processed this week, but I am working
Hong Kong time and it's hard to get things done.
Again, to all the participants, thanks for making a GREAT event!!

There was a rumor at teh track that Hoosier went bankrupt ... I dunno but
when I went by the main plant in South Bend it was boarded up and all the
lights were out. Anyone know anything?
Edward, they are pretty good tires, eh? I got them off the DISCONTINUED
tires web site at Hoosier, and then ordered them from my racing shoppe here
in town who is a Hoosier distributor.

It was nice to see all the Lightning guys at Gingerman. Nothing like the feeling of passing a Cobra, can't imagine getting the point by from the GT! Fortunately, my TCE (Wilwood) kit held up well all weekend, just need to get a set of Nitto 555RIIs by Putnam. I got black flagged for a little agricultural driving exiting turn 6, but the L was hurt.
Putnam = August 27 & 28th.
