Ive had my mod valve in for bout six months. I can chirp second gear anytime I give it more than a lil throttle. I asked about changing to the ftvb with my tuner and he told me I had no reason to. He had tuned the truck for the mod valve and I would have no problems with the clutches. To each their own I guess.

Yep, that'd be me. I usually roll through South River on my way home from class if I have nothing better to do.

/hijack mode on

BTW, did you see that Jersey has two or three of the most expensive
places to live in the US? That's prolly why it takes a while to get all
the moddin' done. < grin >

/hijack mode off

I've had both line mod and FTVB, and the results are about the same.

Only different claim is the FTVB is easier on the tranny. YMMV ...

I have a Line Mod Valve from (Troyer Performance) along with a 4 Lber, and Filter and from a stop I spin the F1's all the way into 3rd Gear. I only did this once, too much stress on the tranny.

I can chirp second without thinking I can smoke second with about 1/2 throttle. My truck runs really strong

Just because you had 2 broken springs, that doesn't mean a bigger line mod valve caused it. FYI

I have had my line mod valve from JDM in my 02 since 02, and i haven't had a single problem with it. When i get on it and i hit 2nd, it will chirp the tires every time. I would say people has had problems with both the LMV & FTVB, but you can't say one is worse than the other.
