Just got the guns and How-To books to learn. I plan on experimenting on my 2nd oem hood till I get the effect I want. The plans are to paint realistic dark blue flames on the front grill surround, hood, and front fenders. They will be more like flame licks when done.

Yup, but with more gaps in the blue. I will also have less lighter blue and more dark blue. There will only be light to medium blue on the very tip of the flame licks. Painting blue flames on a black truck is ideal because I will easily be able to delete areas of the flame to get the effect I want.
