Question Supercharger Flaking

so i cleaned my intercooler today. i wasnt as hard as i thought. i just drove bout 15 miles to check it. i took it out for a quick run. it seemed alright, but its still doesnt feel as spunky as it did a couple weeks ago. i noticed that the coating on my supercharger rotors is flaking off. could this cause loss of power? is it bad? it still hits 10 psi but slowly. it used to get there quick. im gonna throw a JLP 4# pulley on it tomorrow and i wanna know if i should be concerned.

Check your adjustment on your Boost Actuator. It might have gotten out of spec when you pulled the blower.

Don't worry about it. You can remove it with no ill effects. The coating helps with rotor heat management and is a filler to close some gap between the blades and the rotor case (as per a Manguson tech's explanation). At higher boost levels, it doesn't really matter anymore, as it's really only effective at 1-4 PSI.
