Good News Got my KB Back
As some of you know I was having some problems with my KB
While it never failed, It was using tons of oil, and had developed some slop in the front nose cone section. So I sent it in to Kenne Bell a few weeks ago and when I got home it was back.
I have had it on my truck for 2.5 years, and I had no idea if they would cover the repairs since the warrenty was long over. Well it is all fixed and they covered the repairs for free.
I talked to them today to see what they had to do to it. All it needed was some new seals, and the phenolic coupler that conects the pulley to the rotor pacs.
I have not put it back on, but I can tell it spins a lot smoother, all the slop is gone.
So I will put it back on this weekend, then I will be off to Jersey to get rid of my ProM and get a SCT mass air meter.
So look out at FFW up in Epping the beast will be back

Now that I got the KB back, might as well get more air into it.

If it at all fits the budget, you need the JLP sheetmetal intake. It was worth over 1 psi of boost on mine going from a C&L upper, which is at least as good as a fully-ported stocker. The extra boost proves you have a restriction at the intake with even the ported stock one or a C&L on a high boost truck.

with that sheet metal... I don't get to the track quite enough to make it worth it to me
Hey Don , what kinda play did you have in the pulley, mine has some slight play when you turn the pulley by hand you can turn the pulley slightly without it turning the rotors. I have the blower on the workbench probally be there a while till i get the motor installed, I should send it in to get checked out. Cucamonga is only 5.5 hours away maybe i should drive over and drop it off.

Ya that sounds about what mine had.
I do have to admitt 2.5 years, many miles and many 1/4 mile passes. All it needed was some seals and a coupler. Pretty good if you ask me.
