FYI re: Whipple compressor shortages
Whipple may be telling the truth about its inability to get compressors from Lysholm.
Today I found a federal case in the Eastern District of California. The date of filing is unknown, as it was originally filed in California state court. It was transferred to federal court just a few days ago. While the complaint was not available online, Opcon/Autorotor/Lysholm's motion to dismiss and transfer the case to Sweden was.
That motion recites that "Whipple brought suit . . . alleging that Lysholm failed to fill Whipple's orders." The complaint seeks "damages of $15,000,000," "specific performance [a court order that the defendant fulfill the contract]," and "an injunction requiring Defendants to stop selling superchargers to two customers." I cannot tell who the two customers are without reading the complaint.

Definitely ford at least.Imagine how much less problems ford would have if the factory vehicles that came w/ a s/c were whipple as opposed to roots. The cooler post charge temps would provide a greater cushion for the peeps that like to add chips and higher psi pulleys, and then take them off to for warranty work. Also I beleive ford owns land rover???Correct me if Im wrong
..But the new land rover is available s/charged....

Everyone was quick to state it was hearsay and BS, when it fact it was true. Even you stated:
Gimme a break. There is no indication whatsoever that anyone from Kenne Bell had anything to do with this post. It was just a damn joke. That's how rumors get started.
As I said earlier, it's Ford and Mercury Marine who Whipple is requesting an injunction on.

The post you reference above was some one-post newbie posting hearsay about Whipple being in financial trouble. My comment was in response to someone joking that Jim Bell had something to do with the post and then someone adopting that as a rumor -- and nothing else.
Do you even think about things before you post?
I wonder why Lysholm is failing to follow through with their mfg. commitments?
Compressors are their core competency. If they can't produce to meet demand, then as a company they are seriously deficient. Sounds like they need to pickup some licensees worldwide and get production up.
