The diode is in part of the harness that goes to the relay - in the LFP kit the green wire goes to the temp sensor in the block. Trace that wire back to the relay plug and you'll see another wire that joins with it at the plug - that's the ground wire from the AC relay (whenever the ac relay grounds and activates, the same ground signal is passed to the elec fan relay to activate it). Right there where the 2 wires hook up at the relay plug - the one from the AC relay actually has the diode right there (this diode blocks the ground from the temp sensor from being felt on the AC relay and making the AC kick on). Here's a crude drawing of that relay and it's wiring:
