Is powder coating drop spindles a waste of money

I just go to the powder coater to drop off my spindles, did not call in advance and they closed for lunch. it is 100 degrees outside so I left and plan on going back tomorrow. I get back to work And look at my rims, I do not even think you will be able to see the spindles through the rims. Should I just throw a coat of black paint on there to help prevent rust or do you think I will be able to see the powder coat? I was planning on having them done in blue to match the truck

If you have the stock size rotors than a small portion of the spindle hangs down below the rotor but IMO I would just pain them black. I'll take picture tonight of how far down it hangs.

i spoke briefly on the phone, i went down there but he had closed the shop to go get lunch or something. I have to go back and see what it is going to cost. I am going to test fit the spindles first before I decide on what I am going to do with the powder coating.
