boost actuator?

at what boost the internal bypass actually start to force the boost actuator back towards the open position? When i say this i mean at what boost level is the spring in it not strong enougth to hold all the boost the s/c makes or is this even a problem. jw because i thought of safety wireing my actuator arm shut

I think it's dependent upon engine vacuum or not.

You can take the S/C belt off and rev it and the actuator still closes.

i see what you say but when no vacuum is present it is the spring that keeps it shut so thats why i say what is the spring good up to

i maybe wrong but i thought the little butter fly was just a bit off center so the boost coming from the bottom acutally pushes it closed, but i could be wrong. i can't remember.....
