Thumbs down Fun Ford Weekend racers read this

I just posted this over on the FFW board

One of the competitors got cought running a Trans Brake in Ohio which is clearlly against the rules. They then let him remove it and run elliminations, and didn't disqualify him.

I urge you all to go over there and express your opinion

I know Jim is very unhappy with what happened,

Surprised Jim didn't blow a gasket (not literally of course) and demand something, or something.

I would do what NASCAR does.Make him sit out this event[and NOT refund his entry fee] then fine him if he wants to run any other ffw events. Not so much make him an example but make it clear to everyone else what it can cost if you do get cought cheating!Stan

The proper thing to do would be to confinscate the illegal part, fine the person, dock them some points and go on about the racing thats how us round track guys do it.

wow

the **** with FFW get's deeper and deeper.

I'll be going up to Epping to hang out, see some friends and watch some fast vehicles.........but I will not be racing.

If i was eliminated by him and he was cheating and they did nothing......i wouldn't be leaving in the same vehicle i showed up in.

Christ, I almost smacked one of the officials because of their rotten attitude because they didn't want to give me decals to put on my truck that were REQUIRED when running a showdown class..............

FFW is a large chunk of change for some of us who don't race all the time and will probably get eliminated on the first run. For me, it's even more discouraging when you have guys who run all the time cheating.

After the crap that happened last year with Jamie, now this. I'm all set. I'll pay the spectator admission. Buy some 10 dollar hot dogs and some 8 dollar cokes. But i'm all set with the racing.

I'll bring some batteries and take some pics and post em up for everyone

Anyone have a video of Jim's burnout. I wanna see it!!!!

Can't say I blame him. I would've slalomed the little orange timing cubes all the way to the finish line if it were me. It just goes to show that you can get away with anything in FFW if you know the right people. They even let a guy in the True Street class open his hood to replace a spark plug wire without disqualification. Why do they even have a rulebook?

FFW has and was in the past a big joke. Every event I attended was very expensive for a weekend at the track, and was not very enjoyable from a racing point of view.

There tech's are a bunch of smart @$$'$, the main announcer is about as annoying as it gets, and the class rules just plain $uCk.

I might go to one in the future, but it's not very high on the priority list.

He did better than that. He knocked over 3 of the outdoor *****ters when he side swiped them as he was coming off the track. You should have seen that truck he was driving...LOL...holy crap, what a mess. There must have been like 50 pounds of blue ***** all over that thing. All he said was, "thank goodness it wasn't my truck." That Jim is a real cut up...he just kills me.

Yeah...it was true Blue...or now known as ***** blue...LOL. Geeze...now that I think about it...maybe Jim didn't want me to post about it. They got it all off the outside of the truck, but there was alot that came in through the passenger window when the window broke out and got all over the carpet and seats.

I don't know if they will ever get that smell out of it. It's really a shame too. That truck seemed to be running good. Jim ran a mid 10 with the truck on Sunday. Oh well....at least the dude that owns it can get going fast enough to get some air flowing around in the cab. Maybe the smell will clear up after 60 or so passes.
