For the speedo, you just need your tuner to program it for 4.10.

If i keep my L, I was thingking 410s too.

if you do a quick search under my name and you'll find my comments.

I really really like them. I thought the RPM's would be substantially higher, but at 80mph, they went up about 300-350 on cruise.

They are the best mod for the street.

I haven't been to the track yet (Long story) but I'll be there next month, I think.

I got a helluva deal on my install, so I'm not sure the normal price,

Sal Overnighted my chip to me with the calibration for the 4.10 gears.

same question here...would like to do 4:10's, but not if it means I have to get a chip. My buddy has a 2001 Cobra that has 4:10's and no chip.....that thing hauls a$$.....what a big difference.

the only thing the chip will do is:

calibrate the speedo
I think the shift points need to be adjusted also.

The dealer can reprogram your computer for the 4.10s.

Why would you need to adjust shift point? Don't they go off of RPM's or is it speed?
I don't know.....just asking......
What about the size of the differential??.... is it 8.8?? 9.75??
I've seen a few for sale, but it looks like some of the Cobra guys on SVTP are selling them. Just need to know the size to get.

I-menace....did a search and couldn't find the post you were talking about.

This may very well be my FIRST mod.

I remeber reading that a lot of 01+ owners dont recomend getting the 4:10. While it is an improvement it is mostly noticable for the owners with 3:55 gears. I can't say for sure, but I really cant wait to get the 4:10 with a FTVB.
