lightning VS. cobra??help

hello L fans,
im out in Navy and were deployed right now, in singapore for a couple days right now actually, however i have a friend on board that has a cobra and i have a lightning and we have been arguing about whos faster for the last 5 months but we cant exactly go line them up and i been meaning to ask on here i just havent had the time, sooo.... his cobra is a 99 he has bassani exaust, chip, nitto 555's, cold air intake, and 3.77 gears. my 2000 L has a mac catback, cold air intake custom dyno tune chip, and 6lb lower pulley. thats it who's faster i just want you guys' opinions. 1/4 estimate or just from a dig street racing. thanks guys

Have yuo ever seen him run? Reason being, there are many people who say I only have this or I only have that.
In the street race thing you never race someone you have never seen run before. Put a little money on the line and you will be suprised where all the extra horse power comes from.

If it is as you say, I would put my money on you. Just remember to not run off the roll and ease in to it and the nail it.

He will diffenetly know he was in a race!

Peace,

Suavy

The 99 cobra's and the 01+ lightnings are running similar times stock to stock in the 1/4.. so with your 6lber i would think you would surpass him even with the gears.. but to estimate 1/4 times we'd have to know where your located.. while you may run a 12.7 in a cold climate, you might pull a 13.4 in a hot humid climate..

unless he transplanted the 4.6l S/C cobra motor into his car, you'll kill him.

Just don't boil the tires off the line, Ease into it and then once your moving, drop the hammer.

Are you floating on a USNS, or a regular USS. Drink a cold one @ Fridays and get plenty of the computer software while you are there...

99 Slowbra vs. your modded L. You win! Do you know if his 99 had any recalls? Regardless you will eat his lunch.

Stay away from that damn Tiger beer over there. Are you pierside @Sembawang(sp) . Anyhow you could not say anyway... Enjoy your stay in Singapore and hopefully you follow it up w/ A visit to Hong Kong and Thailand(Either ***uette or Paddia) Make sure you do some window shopping in Thailand if you know what I mean

Ok, Im just a grunt, so Ill ask whats the difference in a USNS and a USS?

But I would think that your mod'd L should beat a 99 cobra. And if it doesnt that will just give me another reason to justify trading in my L for a terminator.

haha the difference between a usns and a uss is that a usns is like the oilers and other reservist ships, the non war ships, im on the USS BOXER LHD 4, a war ship, we are peir side right now i cant say where were going, but i can say ive seen some crazy shi*. i cant get the images of the bannana show in japan out of my head! got a few more countries to check out before we pull back into sandiego, i miss my truck! and my wife of course.
ive never seen this cobra run and i dont know if hes had any recalls.

The BOXER relieved the Belleauwood. I would work out of Iwakuni and catch the Belleawood out of Sassebo. DO NOT MISS ANY LHA,LPH, or LHD. I was the SAR(Search and Rescue) DET (HC-5) stationed on GUAM.

Have you been to PI or Thailand yet?
