For those who cut their passenger seat...

Do you absolutely have to buy the new seat pan, or can you cut the exisiting one down? This is for the Expy console mod. Thanks.

everything i have read over the past few years says you have to buy a new pan from ford. it would be the pan from a truck with bucket seats instead of a split bench.

Passenger Seat

No, you don't have to use the bucket seat pan. I cut my pan to use as a bucket seat. As a back up, I bought the pan and still have it if you are interested. I would be willing to sell it to you for what I paid and shipping.

You can contact me through email at terpeg@mindspring.com. I live in New Orleans, LA. I also have the rod that is required to adjust the seat.

either or. I bought the new pan from a junkyard and repainted it with rustoleum. That was easier than finding someone who would cut/weld it to the exact right length so everything would bolt in again.
