A/C Removal and Bracket

What bracket and pulley did you use after removing your A/C? Thanks.

I replaced the tensioner with one that pulled the opposite direction and repaced the smooth sided idler with a grooved one.If you do that there is no need for a pulley or bracket to set in place of the a/c.

I personally used the Reichard Racing piece and then modified the crap out of it but Booger is right....Ford has a belt tensioner for non-AC cars/trucks that works in reverse.

Booger can you be more specific. The reversed tensioner is from? And here did you get the grooved pulley?

I'll haft to do some digging but I think it was for a non a/c 4.6 97 f-150 then I had to switch out the pulleys cause it had less belt grooves. Other then that it was a bolt on.

I think the pulley I used was off of the belt tensioner from the blower idler bracket.I had to buy the whole tensioner to get the pulley although it was still inexpensive.

I think the tensioner is from a non a/c 97 4.6 f-150,and the pulley,I had to buy a new tensioner likes on the blower idler bracket on a stock L just to get the pulley, then transfer it to the other 4.6 tensioner.
