Did you e-mail Tim? If you can't get ahold of him, just make a post saying "This product X dynoed 100 more HP" and he'll be posting in that thread within 10 seconds.

Ideally you use an air chisel to knock the heads off the rivets holding the stock hangers on then use a punch to remove the studs and finally, remove the stock hangers. If you don't have access to an air chisel, people have used a grinder to remove the heads of the rivets. Also, the studs that remain can be a bitch to get out with just a hammer and punch combo, people have had to resort to heating the area around them to make it a bit easier, not too much though or you could soften the rail.

After the stock piece is off getting the dropped one on is pretty straightforward.

doing both.
want to drop and keep stock ride quality, doing spindles up front and shackles and hangers in the rear. keeps the stock travel just sits everything lower.

Where is the wiring harness connection? And besides the 6 or 8 bolts, wiring harness, and fuel fill tube which has 3 bolts, do I need to disconnect anything else to remove the bed?

Take the bumper off before the bed, other wise you will have to lift the bed up pretty high to get it over the bumper. 3-4 guys will do it. I recall when I removed mine to get repaired-
(4) nuts holding rear bumper to frame
Wire harness for lic. plate lights
Wire harness for tail lights on the frame (maybe a plug, seen some with and others with out)
(6) bolts in the bed
(3) screws around filler neck
you could use some sawhorses or an old table to set the bed on (so the ground effects pieces are hanging off the side and not touching the ground)

I also found my build sheet taped to the back of the cab once the bed was off (but my truck was only a few weeks old still)
