Check the plugs, maybe you burnt a few. I am not a Denso fan and would slap some TR-6's in there. But that is just me. -Mat-

Update:

I pulled out the nr 5 plug yesterday (the one the blew, first one on the passenger side), and checked it. It didn't look good. Acutally the tip of the plug was bent a bit outwards. I even pulled out the insert (Helicoil) with it (I thought the loctite would make it stik ). So I put in a new insert (with loctite), new plug, and new coil,,,,,, and it still has the same problems.

Now I have to check all the other plugs as well

If you had one bad plug Norseman, You most likely have more,
hopefully that's all it is.

Did the plug look like this.....

It's due to heat, what happens is the heat causes the tip to distort and in some cases it'll go sideways like that, before completely melting off.
Not always as seen on the other 2 bad plugs I had.
The dam thing ran pretty good like this too, hehehehehe

OH BTW
You want to use Sleeve Retainer to put the inserts back in, (the stuff used to hold cylinder sleeves in a block). It's made by Loc Tite, but it's not Loc Tite.

DON'T ASK WHY I KNOW THIS!!

yeah

you can't use any of the regular grade loctite to hold inserts in. And you definetely don't want to be pulling the insert in and out with the plugs.

Coil packs are a f'n pain in the ***. That would be nice new mod. Some kinda aftermarket ignition box that we would run just regular plug wires off.

They suck to take out. They suck to put back in. And they suck when they don't work correctly.

Otherwise, they are real clean looking and work well.......

A single non-firing cylinder will make the motor run miserably. The O2 sensor and computer see the AFR as suddenly too rich and will lean all cylinders down to try to compensate. It can lean them to point of not firing.

I agree with Matt
Get some TR6's gap them at .035 and let us know how if it helps. The denso's are tricky to gap.

If you are running the same inserts as I have in my truck there is a special tool, that expands the top part of them to lock them in. If not locked in they can come out like yours did.
