Have you gotten to those plugs yet? If not, let me know if you want to get together on those.

Thanks again Josh!

I missed out on Biff's - I worked until 10 Friday night Another 14 hour salaried day! I had a nice big box waiting for me when I got home though - My heads and cams are here

Pick up a filter and come by next weekend - we'll get it swapped out. I'm doing my motor assembly, so I'll be around. I painted the short block today, so I should be nicely cured by the weekend.

Later,
Herb

BTW - open invite if anyone else wants to drop by.

Hey Carlos!

That's me. Thanks for the props and for the pulley! I found a buyer for my 5# (to make room for it ) and it went out this weekend.

BTW - if anyone has ANY dealings with Carlos (locosvt), he is "A #1", perfectly stand-up guy and can definately be trusted. I would vouch for him anyday!

Herb

Scott,
How far are you from Biff's? I live around the corner - about a minute and a half from there. I'm looking at putting the motor somewhat together this weekend, but if you can get the truck over and have time for a couple hour cool down (for the truck too ), we can do both at the same time. Plugs-by-proxy should be well shy of 2 hours, but we don't want hot heads when pulling plugs.

Mike,
Two pages is actually a good bit of a surprise to me too :o ! And I know me pretty well by now! We are certainly going to have to figure out something to get together at some point. The food-for-booze swap sounds good - at least for the first round - if you count the whole day, I'm definately at the short end of that stick!

Thanks again everybody,
Herb

Offer is still open for helpers/spectators/co-defendants for the motor build Saturday. I'm hoping to get the heads bolted on and cams and timing done, so the pressure is on.

Herb (Erb) for president!

Guess who will be in Houston this weekend? I have to drive down and pick my son up. I will be coming right back leaving Sunday night.

If God willing I'll try to make a run to SA

Peace,

Suavy

Sweet!

If you can make it - call me!! My cell is 210 287 4020.

It'd be great to finally meet you face to face.

At this point, I'm planning on a 3-day build blast. I'll be doing motor assembly Sat., engine bay detail Sun., more engine Mon. along with maybe suspension and interior bits (EGT gauge and Hilton overlay) and maybe some more aluminum smoothing in there somewhere. I still need to finish the timing cover, the oil cooler adapter and I've got to get the lower intake gasket matched.

My plans are WAY more ambitious than what I'll actually get done, but you've got to start somewhere.

Hope it works out for a visit!

Herb

BTW - I'll pass on the public office offer - I wouldn't make it past the prying press
