Would my truck have more power if...

With the 2lb pulley I just put on, would I be faster with the stock computer tune (I've heard it can compensate safely for the extra 2psi) or with the 93 oct pulley tune from the new Predator revisions? Only other mods are a MAC filter and catback and a LFP valvebody.

I'm thinking since the new Predator tunes are so conservative, and made for a 4lb pulley, that I might make more power on the stock ecu settings. What do think? Is there still more timing than stock in the new 93 oct tunes?

This is what another forum member found when logging the new Predator 93oct pulley tune:

93oct pulley tune
-1st gear: 15 degrees of timing max. A/F 11.1-11.4, occasionally flashing a little higher, but no higher than 12.0
-2nd gear: 17 degrees of timing max. It flashed 17 right before redline. A/F was 11.1-11.4, occasionally flashing a little higher, but no higher than 12.0
-3rd gear: 16 degrees of timing max. A/F was 11.1-11.4, occasionally flashing a little higher, but no higher than 12.0

What pulley was he using when he gathered that info ?

Since it seems to max out at 17 degrees, that tune should be perfect for you.
BUT with the AF floating around a full point that could be dangerous for someone running more pulley than what ever the person gathering that info was running ?

For 2lbs you should be fine, and YES you would def run better compared to the factory tune.

He was running basically the same mods as me, but with a 4lb pulley. Here's a link to his thread:

Thanks to 03WHITELIGHTNIN for the research on that one and thanks Rob, for your input here. Appreciate it.

1. a chip does a LOT more than adjust timing, you calibrate fuel tables, and a host of other calibrations.

2. You need to talk to wydopnthrtl. He's been datalogging his truck for a few weeks now. We've been talking back and forth, and he has a wealth of knowledge about the stock computer and timing, that will turn a few heads!
