Won the Truck Class at Test n Tune!!

I was originally supposed to spend some time at home last night with the family, but ended up getting a kitchen pass to head out after dinner. My wife's pretty good about dealing with my addiction - the Lightning

So, I went out last night to meet up with some friends, and maybe run the truck. Haven't even had a chance to set the TPS with my Accufab, but idle is dead on perfect... not sure if I'm getting full voltage at WOT, but the truck seems to be running pretty good. When I put the TPS on, I basically just eyeballed it, and seemed to idle just fine! Still needs to be tuned for the new exhaust setup, ported and port matched SBTB, intake and Stiegemeier ported blower. Also running a 5# lower versus the 4# that the truck is tuned for.

ANYWAYS...

I get to the gates after most have already tech'd in, and some guy comes up to me and asks if I was there for the Carl's Performance Truck class - I said "Sure." He told me that I'm the random winner of a $20 gift certificate to Carl's Truck Performance shop!! I was like "uhhh, What??" He basically said he randomly selected one of the trucks to win the first giveaway. Sweet!

So, there's some really fast S10's running 350 small blocks last night. 10's and low 12 sec ETs. Seemed like the fastest 2 broke, so I was defaulted as the #1 qualifier for the truck class! Somehow the guy in the booth didn't have my name, so he kept calling me the "Stiegemeier Truck" (the only thing he could see on my Lightning)

I didn't run my best ETs last night, and I was also running on my Toyo Proxes winter tires (haven't swapped my F1's to the back yet...)

Best for the night:

60' - 1.92
1/4 - 12.91 @ 107

My final round was against a turbo diesel F350 - He said it weighed in at over 7000 #s!! He asked me for the bump at the lights - I said I'd think about it So we both stage, and he ends up staging WAAAY deep trying to spool up...He ended up running a redlight 14.4xx to my 12.91

So my win was yet ANOTHER $20 gift certificate - giving me $40 for the night to my $15 entry fee to race... Not a bad evening!

that'll work-nice job. Be careful of those crazy diesels. I was messing around with one the other night getting on the highway and I didn't pull by much on him from a roll.

That's Awesome! Now you can't say you've never won anything!
(Now go buy your wife something nice!)

I seen you out near those S10's with a pipe wrench and some side cutters. Seems a little suspicious to me!

Congrats on the win

Sure, sneak over to the track, and don't tell any of your buddies that you are going.

Guess I'll have to go Friday night for Midnight Madness, and not invite you.

Sorry Mike!

Hope to be out again sometime mid-June... The next few weeks are vacations and business trips!
