congrats Jerry! So when you dragging it out on Saturday evening to the 1431 hangout?

Damn that White C6 would look sweet on some Black Fikse FM\5s or FM\10s

Thanks Rick,

I will try to make it this Sat. I forgot that was the new place to see and be seen. It's only a few miles from my house.

I've had the sames thoughts about the wheels.
Parts are crazy high for a Vette. The Magnaflow cat-back with X=pipe I'm thinking about is $1150.00 and most are in the 14 to 15 hundred dollar range.

On another note I think I saw you two times on Leander road last Sunday. Jay and I were in the Vette with the top off. If it was not you then there is another white L driving 2243 now.

If you are going to spend the money go with Corsa or Borla for the vette.

Sweet Vette! Gotta love that gas mileage! Gonna miss that resale value though. Hopefully in a few years my 'ol L will be pulling a used Z06 to the track after they take the initial hit in depriciation.

Jerry,

Nice car!! If you are going to get a cat-back exhaust do it b/c you like the sound... not for the performance gain. The performance gain is pretty small. The manufacturers' claims are out there, IMHO.

And yes... everything for the Vette is expen$ive.

Have fun and stay safe!

I always liked SLP's "loudmouth" exhaust.

That's what I want when I get a C5 (I'm poor).

They basically have no mufflers, flow well, cost less, and drop like 20lbs of weight.

Those are for the C5, but I bet they make one for the C6 soon.

I know the exhaust will not do much for performance and it should be a crime to spend over a grand for a better sound but the stock mufflers are not mean enough for this car!

I have 635 miles on the car and I've filled up twice (18 gal. tank). I'm getting just over 20 MPG. I drive 22 miles on the highway each way to work and back so it's not much stop and go. I think on a trip I could get close to 25 MPG.
Cliff, if we end up at the track together I will let you take her around once. I gotta warn ya though it will screw you all up! I really loved the truck and had no thoughts of getting a car until I drove my son's Mach One at TWS. As soon as I got out after the session I knew the truck was gone and a car was in my future. I had never driven or ridden in a Vette since high school (mid 70's) but from what I read this C6 is a big step up even from the C5. I mean in comfort and refinment. I'm not sure but I think my old L could take it in a drag race. It would be close but the cornering in the Vette (when I remember to turn off that damn traction controll/active handling) is unbelievable!
