Plugs Plugs!

I keep hereing this subject and its worrying me. I have a 2003 L and i keep reading the plugs blow out?? check then change them all the time? I have had the truck 4 months it has done 9,000 miles total from new, am i at risk from breaking something becuase of plugs?? I hant done any mods or anything to the truck at all yet, and I dont even know where the plugs are coz I can't see them! I live in the UK and no one here wants to work on the L for me so i have to do most myself..
Any info on this subjest would be greatly appreciated!!
Mike.

You shouldnt have much to worry about. the problem is mostly with the pre-02 trucks. I have an 01 and all I do is a little extra attention when changing the plugs...No problems. Yours is a newer model and low mileage. You should be ok....

My 03 has 36K miles, with all the std mods and my original plugs are fine. i will probably change them at 50k to some cheapo TR6's

This "issue" has been blown way out of proportition IMO. The 02 and earlier heads did'nt have very many threads and therefor the torque retention over time is lacking. You have an 03 and really are not subject to this issue.

However instead of taking my word for it just simply go check your plugs and see if they are torqued to 12-13ft lbs. Then you'll have no more worries...mate.
