Installed the new heat exchanger

I bought the Fluidyne heat exchanger from Chickenears last week and I was able to install it today. It was a PITA because I installed it myself but I got it in there. I just hope I got it in there right. The Fluidyne is alot thicker than the stock unit.

Here some pics.

I went ahead and use the factory gold coolent but latter on when summer gets here I'll prolly flush the system and use a mix of water and antifreeze, since the summers here can get ugly if it wants to.

Let us know what that does for your IAT2 temps, i should do this upgrade this summer. Also, i have those jackstands, pretty sweet for the price.

I have the AFCO from JDM. What is the difference between the two...if any? Is Fluidyne better than AFCO?

There's not a huge difference... JDM used to sell Fluidynes
(I have a JDM Fluidyne one), switched to AFCO, lower costs intiially...dunno about now.

Is there any data to prove this is a worthwhile swap? Ive been watching my temps and in 50* weather, Im running about 30* higher on my IAT2 temps while driving 40-55 mph. I see alot of people using these but nobody has any positive results?
