Does the bar pass right under the torque converter? Do you have a picture of this area?

Thanks,
TB

This is for your info:
I had won this kit at ower local gathering in Florida for Florida SVT in Orlando last month. This kit will not fit a Lightning or F150 that uses an aftermarket trans pan!!!
I called Kenny Brown and told them the problem and I was SHOCKED by the response, "well, we won't just build you a custom one for you". My next question was why they would produce a part without doing a little more research into what Lightning owners are running on trucks. My thought was why not build two kits, one with the stock pan in mind and the other for those with aftermarket pans. Chad said it was developed for stock trucks only. He also said he would see if they would consider building a different front piece for aftermarket pans, but would not guarantee anything. I called again today , and they said they wanted me to call back in another month and they might have a decsion.
Does anyone with a Lightning even have a stock truck? Needless to say, I was very disappointed with their "customer service" per say. If you plan on ever using an aftermaket pan on your truck or have one already, this kit WILL NOT FIT.

Razor1,

Very interesting response. That's exactly the kind of comments I get from my Mustang friends. Total A-holes to deal with, over priced and over rated. That's the same attitude I got last year when I called them to see if they offered anything for Lightnings. "We don't build anything for trucks". It was like I called for suspension mods for my lawn tractor!

Imagine how you would feel if you had paid for the part..

I don't understand your frustrations with them. I'm fairly new to the truck scene. A buddy of mine just got a lightning and he got the xfactor and loves it. From also being in the ford scene I know a lot of pro-saleen and pro-kenny bronw guys. There are obviously goods/bads for each. I personally have never like Saleen stuff, and I don't think they even offer truck things do they? Anyhow, my buddy said that when he called they were very addement about saying that it fits stock OEM parts and from there its on you basically. Well my bud loves the xfactor and on the track he says it adds a whole new experience to it. So i've heard good things.

You are missing the point entirely.

It was stupid for KB to not anticipate the aftermarket parts that are commonly installed. Most people in the market for a chassis brace have modded the hell out of their trucks already. KB could have made the X-F accommodate 90% of the mods out there and stock trucks at the same time.

what makes their response even more dumb is that anyone who needs or wants this mod has a modded truck... I can't imagine this being the first upgrade for anyone... Kenny Brown,

No progress at all. Decided to shape up the garage and get the accident damage repaired before going any further. It will be several more weeks.
