Tire Over-inflation

What are the possible effects of over-inflated tires? Aside from a little traction loss.
I kept my toyo Proxes at around 34 psi, and last time I checked they were about 37 or so...
Anyway, help appreciated.

Tire wear will be greater toward the center of the tread pattern if your tires are overinflated long enough. You'll also cut down on the surface area of the tread that is actually in contact with the road.

What Odin's Wrath said. When you checked your tire pressure did you do it while they were cold? You don’t want to check tire pressures when the tires are warm which means if you drive 5 miles or more they are considered warm.

When tires warm up they build pressure. For example, your cold pressure could be 32psi and then when warm, like a 10 mile drive down the freeway your tire pressure could be 35psi or 37psi. Depends on the temperature outside and the type of driving your doing.
