Replacing front swaybar endlinks ????

when i had my hotchkis installed they obviously overtightened the front links :cr: i was under the truck loosening moving and retightening my stupid bassani's for the 4th time, damm nyc potholes keep making the x-pipe fall off the midpipes.......so i noticed my lower bushings on my front endlinks are well GONE save for a little bit of rubber on the bottom one.....i went to autozone and got the same exact sized set of Energy suspension endlinks that came with the hotchkis setup (9.8119RC), they look simple enough to change but i was wondering if i can just slide under the truck and do it or do i have to jack it up at all, i was hope to just make this a rhinoramp assisted install, like i did for my exhaust, FTVB, oil changes and so on........i appreciate the help, and while your at it churing ouw brain pudding for me could you guys give me an opinion on the new KennyBrown X-Factor chassis brace setup and if it will work with my bassani,.....since nothing else will like traction bars and stuff

Thanks for the help

Yup ... should be a simple unbolt and replace. You can even do
it on a jack and jackstand on a side at a time. I had problems
with the Hotchkiss fitting so I had my buddy weld me up a "offset"
end link ... I gotta picture around here somewhere.

Cliff

EDIT: Here ya go ... I think the offset was exactly an inch

If your pipes are falling off, Have you tried some stainless self-tapping sheetmail screws?
1 or 2 per connection should stop them from shaking loose.

I think the jury's still out on the X-Factor ... Seems like it's
a bit flimsy for my taste ... Don't know how much that small
diameter can resist the torque that we produce

The twisting force (torque) that the X-Factor is designed to address has only an indirect relationship to HP. I'm trying it for the torque generated by the F1s in a hard turn. The engine could be shut off.

From my study of the piece, it is designed to transmit loads down the lengths of the tubes. How big do they need to be? Think of all of the chassis stiffeners out there for other cars. They aren't very beefy, nor do they need to be. They just need to be able to keep from crushing end-to-end.

Or something.

Snake oil? Maybe. But chassis stiffeners are universally accepted on other cars. Why not ours?
