motor cut off under boost...won't rev now

Hey Guys have a problem (new to the boards)

Took the L out yesterday for a ride (after a long winter) and while i was under a hard accel off of a light the motor just bogged and bucked and then had no throttle response. I coasted to the side of the road and the motor stalled, it started back up but idles real rough and will not rev(does nothing when you hit the throttle). I had to get it towed back to my house. Everything under the hood is fine, i pulled my chip, and all the fuses are good. I did notice when starting the gauges would jump back and forth. I thought maybe i have some water in the gas but why would you lose total throttle response?. Possible pcm issue?

Any help would be great guys

Thanks,
RON

Bet money that one of your fuel pumps popped a hose off, not getting enough fuel pressure now.

Also check under the blower on the drivers side. There is a vacuum line that can sometimes pop off. It is on the lower intake right in the center of the intake.

check your MAF ,if one little piece of rubber from your filter gets on that wire,it will melt and raise all kinds of hell

This was my first thought as well. I've seen this problem before. Truck acts like the parking brake is on and just won't build engine speed. Yep, very well could be the fuel pump hose. Check your idle and wot fuel pressure at the fuel rail with a fuel press. gauge.

had the same symptoms on the way up state one time . under hard throtle it bogged out and coasted to the side . it would only idle if i tried to give it gas it would die. got towed to a ford dealer they said it was fuel pressure ;but not the filter it was allready done. they said i needed new fuel pumps at some astonomical cost , i spoke to sal on the phone he said let them drop the tank but dont change the pumps because there is a hose that joins the to pumps together that sometimes comes of. he was on the money !!! he saved me about 600 $ they fixed the hose with double clamps put up the tank and that was it . hope it works out for you

Thanks for all the help guys...I believe that hose on the pumps is the problem. Gonna drop the tank this weekend.

I'll let you know what I find

Thanks,
RON

Don't forget the dreaded IAC valve on the passenger side of the intake plenum. It will make your truck do the same thing.
