there is a high pressure fitting and a low pressure fitting. Make sure you use the low pressure one!

Yeah My Grand Cherokee Needs a recharge after winter also. Found out the hard way.. Fricking Detroit Rushhour traffic.

Yea, mine needs a small shot as well. I noticed that the compressor cycles on/off about every 5 sec. or so on max. I was going to go by the dealer but I can't get an off day when it's not raining around here and I don't drive mine in the rain!! If I could find some "how-to" instructions I wouldn't mind doing it myself. Where can one find this info (with pictures/diagrams preferably??)

Thats exactly what mines doing.
No directions needed Ed, you simply start it up, put the AC on Max, then screw the line onto the can, puncture it with the needle valve, snap in on the LOW PRESSURE SIDE, and open the valve and let it recharge. Some peeps say leave the can upright, I find it doesn't seem to matter, but then again I never read directions, hehehehe.

I guess I could go out there and take a few pic's while I do mine right now

Down by the dryer (large black cylinder on the firewall) hu ???

Ok lets go find us a dryer ????
THANKS ALL.....

You should also use "gas only" don't turn the can upside down. You can compress gas, but not liquid!! Warm the can with hot water to quicken up the process.
I just had another thought Rob, maybe Sal hooked your ac system to your intercooler like they were going to do on the Gen 3's!!! Darn Rob, you get all the cool Mod's!!LOL

For those that dont know

As Easy as

As my Brothers above said, LOW PRESSURE side is at the fire wall
right to the left of the PCV Vavle (down under)

There's a self piercing valve inside the valve
(make sure the valve is OPEN when you screw it on the can)

Oh Ya Raid Dads garage, somehow he finds the schitt for 2 something, when I paid 13.00 @($@#($%(#$%(#$

Make sure the snap coupling is clipped properly on the thingy

Once the tank is on the valve tight,
Close the valve, which actually pierces the seal

Open Valve in the FLOWING Position

Hang out, smoke um if you got um, wait till it stops cycling
AND YOUR DONE

While we are on the A/C topic, has anybody removed theirs? That thing's got to weigh 200#, and that would come right off the front end.

I work in maintenance at the plant that makes the accumulator for our ac systems. The accumulator is where ur putting your coolant when charging.
