blower oil leak

here's a good one. i just realized my new magnum powers is leaking from the snout right behind the pulley. it's only looking to be a little bit at this point. i don't know if when i installed it i put too much oil in it or what. i followed the instructions as far as filling to the bottom lip of the fill hole.
if anybody knows of this problem let me know what to do or what to expect.
like i said i filled it to recomended capacity(is there a vent at the end of the snout?) and the only other thing is that i put on a intake spacer w/ stock length belt (maybe too much tension?)
thanks

Is it a new one? I thought I read they redesigned the face of the casing to fix the leaking.

I have received a few, 5 or so, Magnum nose assemblies back for “leaking” that I warranted. I just got one a few days ago and the lip of the seal was ripped up around ¼ of its circumference because the lip was rubbing against the bearing race. I have since switched to a seal that I have used for years in another supercharger that is made such that there is a space between the lip and the bearing race so this failure mechanism has been eliminated. If you guys know of Magnum owners who have leaking nose assemblies and want them fixed have them the send me an email at: charles_warner@mindspring.com and I will take care of them.

also remember that to much belt tension can cause a seal to fail also.

Scott, Ask Don's bolt about Kennt Bell.
