2" - 3" Front Lowering Springs???

HI!... Was wondering if you guys could give some suggestions on front drop kits for the F-150/LIGHTNING. I'm stock right now up front but have BELL TECH 2" lowering shacles in the rear. I plan on dropping the front 2" but would like to go 3" if possible with just lowering springs. I don't want to go the lowering spindle route. BELL TECH makes a 2" lowering spring but I have heard bad things about their springs. I have been looking at the EIBACH springs. Any other lowering spring company's out there? Links to their sites would be great. A 3" lowering spring would be better though. lol! The rear doesn't matter right now since I will be building custom hangers, but I need to lower the front 1ST so I know how low the back needs to go to make the truck level. I'm currently running 305/45/18 rears and will be running 295/45/18's up front. Thanks for any help you guys can provide.

How about lightning front springs? I thought they were a drop from SVT over the standard f150, I don't know how much though. I went with eibach 1" drop, I'm pretty satisfied with them so far.

HI!... Was just lurking over at the EIBACH spring site. Correct me if I'm wrong but the LIGHTING front sits 1.5 inches lower than the regular standard cab F-150 , right? So they have a lowering kit for the LIGHTNING which is 1.5 inches. If I install those springs on my standard cab F-150 it should lower it 3" right???? Will I be able to adjust for alignment for a 3" spring drop in the front???

I'm not sure if they lowered my front end 1.5", but I did see an honest inch. So yeah, I would think they would get you close to 3" on a standard f-150. (Don't forget to get an alignment after, I made a major $250 boo-boo in a very short time)

The Bell tech springs lowered my Lightning 1 7/8"

And, I love them. I don't know what you heard, but I think they ride great. I also have had FRPP (or ground force- same thing) which only lowered a L 1", and felt really soft. I'd go with Bell tech.

I thought you said you were going to back - half the rear of the truck with a tube chassis.

HI!... I am but won't be till next winter. Need to lower the truck this year. Not going to yube chassis it. Stock frame rails will be used. Just getting rid of leaf springs and going with a custom 4-link set-up with a wish bone.

HI!... DEIMATT!!!!!!!!!

Stay away from Eibachs! The couils touch which causes a bad situation. This has been seen by most everyone here over the years. The best bet for what you want is the Bell Tech 4804 coil. I also had the FRPP kit and it was too soft and did not make the truck sit even Left to right... even though I started off even. I re-installed the springs in all kinds of configurations, and nothing changed the uneven look - off by about 7/8".
Go Bell Tech for sure.

HI!... Thanks for the help. The only reason I was leary of the BELL TECH front springs, is because I know two people that have had problems with them. One actually had a spring break after only two weeks and the other says his make a "POPPING" soind everytime he goes over small bumps.

What shocks do you guys recommend with a 3" front drop. I still have the stock shocks. I'm more into setting the truck up for 1/4 mile dragracing than cornering. Does QA1 make a shock to fit the 3" drop????? I also hear the EDELBROCK IAS shocks are decent. Part #'s and or links to sites would be much appreciated. Thanks.

get some springs from ruslow. he has a forum in sv section of nloc. he can get any spring rate you want. he can get you some to improve weight transfer for drag racing also (at least i thought i saw that he got some for somebody). i got about a 1.75" drop on my L with those. i am using the hotchkiss valved bilsteins i got from lfp with those. just get a cam bolt kit and an alignment should not be a problem.
