Problem with upper Pulley install NEED HELP!
Yesterday I attempted to put on a 2.8 upper that I purchased off of Ebay. It is the non-slip interchangeable type. Everything went fine until I put the belt back on and started up the truck. Immediately after starting, the belt slipped off the upper about 1/2" toward the blower. I thought maybe I didn't get it on the shaft far enough so I tried to tighten again. Well it's flush with the blower and would not go on any further. I also have a #4 lower and tried to use the same 67.5 gatorback belt. I'm guessing that either I need a smaller belt or the pulley I purchased is just defective. I did notice that the outer lip of the pulley is not as tall as the stocker. Could this be why the belt keeps slipping off?? Any input would be appreciated.
Is the upper pulley used and possibly distorted?? Does it wobble when spinning?? Could have been damaged in removal if it was used. The only other things to check are belt tension and see if the pullies are aligned correctly.

No it's on the right way. It has the 4 allen bolts in the front so it only goes on one way. It seems to be turning true but I had to shut in down pretty quick before the belt was torn up.
