I have 555's all the way around and they are just as good if not better than the original F1's
Nitto makes the 555's and the 555dr(drag radial)
www.Discounttiredirect.com has the 555's in 295/45/18 for $205.00 each. They might have free shipping but im not 100% sure about that. Im about to order two new nittos along with some new fronts for the new 16x8 Bahas

go with 2 of each. The dr's are great on the street, unless it rains or snows.....

Wow, I never said everyone races in a straight line. The 555R is not designed for road course or auto-x. I certainly know when I decide to hit up a track with curves they won't be on my truck. Could that be why they are called "555R Extreme Drag">??? -Mat-

How good are the 555's in the rain? A guy a work has them on his Mustang and said that they ain't worth chit in the rain. Of course I found this out after I had them put on.

The 555r's have given me no problems in the rain. My truck is real slow right now though.

Hmmm...Then that must be why my question hasn't generated a response???

I have seen said truck at JDM w/ 4 555r extreme drags. Maybe he borrowed them to move the truck around.

Mat, I have seen L's with d/r's all the way at non 1/4 mile events but its not really the best choice for that application.

D/R's are ok in the rain but they are no good on cold ground until they get warm then they are ok at best - forget about snow - nothing works well with a Lightning in the snow unless its your daily driver and you have snow tires and no choice
Im puttin over 500 to the wheels and I never had a problem in normal weather with the drag radials other than they wear out quick

calm down man, i didn't mean to sound condescending or anything. i have seen the local mustang guys try that at auto-x with good success, and i though maybe somebody was trying it on an L. i didn't know they had the 555's in a street/auto-x tire as well
