i was considering lowering my lightgning a couple inches. at least in the rear for sure to even it out. my question is which is the best way to lower it? seems like theres so many options out there. also is this a half way easy job to do it yourself? i would like to say im mechanically inclined. any suggestions?

 

I just put drop shackles on mine yesterday. It took about 1 1/2 hours start to finish so it was pretty easy. That pretty much leveled the back out with the front. I like the look.

 

What year is your truck?

I have a 00' and threw in a set of 2 inch drop shackles in about an hour

 

i have a 99, how much do drop shackles cost? what exactly are they? are they part of the u bolts that are on the axle? sorry if these are dum questions but this is my first truck.
