Question KB = no boost

Went out today and made a run when something felt wrong. Look at the boost gage and it was reading zero...No boost no vacuum on the gage and the truck runs like *****. The blower belt is still on and when at idle or rpm the KB sounds fine. There was about 6 or 7 oz of supercharger oil that puked out the vent hole on the pulley bolt. It ended up on the plenum and under the hood. Any ideas on what this could be? Coupler? Guss I'll call KB and see what they say...Maybe another KB bites the dust....we will see.. :-(

Check to see if your EGR valve is stuck open or if the vac line is melted to the EGR tube. There was one truck here locally that melted the vac line when the egr solenoid commanded it open and it stayed open until the melted part was fixed.

Jeff, do you still hear the Whine ???? Have you been adding alot of SC oil ??? One prob a pal of mine has is when the seal leaks INSIDE the Front Snout. This will send the S/C oil (if you keep adding oil) all over your entire intercooler, "you will lose a lot of power", but that wouldn't explain the loss of Boost ???

Either way sorry to hear it Pal
but as everyone has been pointing out to me, KB has been very very helpful and quick with the repair work. A Lightning recovery to you Jeff.

Just my opinion but that's what scares me about the KB. It's cool theyll take care of you (which they should) but its just a pain in the tail to have to go through it all. Good luck.

PROBLEM FIXED.....It was the big vacuum line on the driverside of the blower midplate. It had blown off...KB did not know what it could be but JDM did. I will install a hose clamp on that vacuum line...Guess it could not handle the boost.... Thanks for all your suggestions guys. Glad the KB is still pumping fine

Jeff, this was due to the pressure not being taken out, and it spit back right ?

Major relief...I did not want to yank the KB and send it off. I knew KB would take care of it but no one likes the down time. I thought at first it lost the belt but the no vacuum on the gage should have been a tell tale sign to me. Even with no belt you should still see vacuum. That hose that blew off was pretty big... It's hose clamped down now....
