I herd on the news today that a 1999 Ford Expedition caught fire while it was parked and the investigation is underway to see why. It is believed to be caused by a faulty crusie control switch. Looks like the 99's might get recalled for the same switch if this is true. Did any body else see this report today or have any more info?

 

fyi there's a sticky thread about this at the top of the page. My 00 was affected. cruise is now deactivated until we can get a new switch in from the stealership

 

Well I park in a garage every night w/ about a few hundred other cars.

If my truck goes up, It would take the fire dept a while to get a hose in there b/c there is no way a firetruck could get in there..........but they do have the nozzles for the fire dept to hook up hoses.

I usually park directly under the swimming pool, how ironic would that be?
