im tired of looking and finding no links- Which Vendor Black Billet Grill Upper/Lower

I have looked around and asked questions, but no one responds to me. Oh well. hopefully someone can chime in with a link for a black billet grill for a 2000 lightning. I want upper and lower. Thanks!

Buy used and send them off to a powdercoater.

thanks...my bad i guess i wasnt clear enough. I am looking for the billet black grill like most chrome ones. They are horizontal NOT MESH thanks

They don't exist.

There is one company that makes grilles in 'black chrome' for the Lightning, but it's far from black, more chrome.

Everyone that has true black billet has had them powdercoated.

I know the type of grill you're talking about and have seen a few pics of them on L's on this website, but have looked all over the internet and haven't found any. By the way, I've got a black mesh Grillcraft grill and the powdercoating is flaking off.

Are you SURE that it is powdercoat? It sounds like black paint.
Powdercoat is a baked-on finish that is generally fairly thick (much thicker than paint) and is extremely durable.
I have seen hundreds of Jr. Dragster parts that were powdercoated, and even after several seasons of use have never seen one that flaked, of course, its always possible that the surface was contaminated when the coating was applied.

Yup. I used to be a painting contractor, and there is no doubt that they are powder coated.

But I am surprised as you are about the failure.
