Spark Plugs?
Spark Plugs?
I live in the UK and was told that I should change my oil and filter every 3500 miles, which i've done, also was told that the L has a hibit of blowing plugs out? So every oil change it is wise to make sure they are tight (is this true). Thats fine but i havnt had the truck long and I cant even find them?? Help me out here please!! is it a n easy job? and also how often do you recommend that I should replace them??

Mike changing the plugs is very good habit of maintence on these trucks. I would check or change them every 10k or so especially if have added boost. When you go with a lower pulley or add boost anytime its good to add a set of colder plugs and gap them tighter. Make sure they are tight when you change them as you are right about the plugs shooting out of the cylinder heads. Checking them every oil change to see if they are tight is a good idea because ill bet if you do that every time you wont have a problem. Also if your truck happens to be a 03-04 model your cylinder heads sit 8 threads deep now and you'll be much less at risk to shoot a plug.
Hope this helps,

Ive used http://www.SVTLightnings.com a few times.
The "how to" section on the left is good. There is a section on spark plugs. Im going to change mine for the first time this weekend. It seems like having all the right tools is a bigee, which I dont at the moment.
