thanks. been there, done that, with my grand cherokee and ranger. i'm gonna try hard not to go nuts with this one. heck, it doesn't need much except tint and an alarm/remote-start that is already in the works.

If you went nuts with a Grand Cherokee, get ready to be institutionalized! WELCOME!

I have owned this Lightning for 13 months and my motto at the begining was to keep it stock, well that went to **** in a hurry.

Current mods in no order of installation and prices (estimates I dont have the receipts here)... I am going to be sick.

Lowering and alignment $350.00
Stereo head unit $250.00
Air filter kit $100.00
Billet accy $150.00
FTVB and 4x4 pan $225.00
Defi gauges and pods with wideband $1200.00
mecto 6lb lower $200.00
nitto drag radails $450.00
new f1's up front $450.00
bedrug $300.00
long tubes $1400.00
Bassani cat back BX $450.00
Kenne Bell S/C $3000.00

Air raid box $150.00
C+L plenum and elbow $400.00
Accufab KB throttle body $400.00
60lb injectors $500.00

Predator $325.00
JLP traction bars $330.00

To think I was going to keep it stock with lowering the only mod. GEEZ!!!

Yeah, I was there also, less than 2 months ago.. The trucks are unbelievable in their stock form. But then you want more sound. So you get a bassani exhaust (at least thats what I chose). Next will be an intake, and pulley, and then your hooked. Its like a drug, once you start you cant start. But good luck not starting. Especially being on this site and seeing everyone elses Ls.

That truck looks beautiful, by the way.

gbgary, I just got mine about 2 weeks ago and came from a Grand Cherokee also. I think I remember seeing your name a time or two at Jeepsunlimited. I gave my WJ to the wife so it's still in the family. I'm still debating on my first mod but it will probably be a Bassani catback followed by a Factory tech valve body. Sweet looking truck, mine is black, I need to post some pics. It's a whole different world from the Grand. You have to be very careful with the gas pedal on a wet road, more cabin noise and not so many bells and whistles, but the performance and all the options more than make up for that. Can't remember if you had a WJ, but there just wasn't that much available for performance parts and I had done about all I could do without going into the internals or a blower. Different story here, lots to choose from. Congratulations and enjoy!
