Someone from Switzerland

Hello everybody!

I'm absolulty new here in this forum. I'm from Switzerland. Last friday I have sold my '98 RAM and change to a '03 Lightning with 13'700km. in black. It's my first Ford truck, and I hope, I don't have too much troubles with him.
My questions are: Who knows how much Lightnings are built in 2003? What are the negative things on the Lightning truck?

That's all for the moment. Thanks a lot for your help.

Greets from Bern

2003 and 2004 are the best year built Lighnings. Most of the issues Ford had with earlier Lightnings were addressed by the time the 2003's came out. Welcome to the family and enjoy your beautiful truck. Oh, btw only negative thing about your truck, the gas mileage!

Thanks for the quick answer about my question!

Gas mileage? I don't know, how many kilometers i can make with my truck, but in the next time, I will take a control check... I had make last friday my first stop at the gas station. And now, I want only drive, drive, drive......I love this...my "new" truck!!

You guys in the states have paradiese conditions! We here in Switzerland pay for one liter gas on time 1.42/L Swiss Francs. Or maybe 1.20 US Dollar per liter.... And we're in Europe one of the cheapest place in gas things.

Welcome to the board, and ask away with your questions. You are one of the few to own a Lightning in your neck of the woods, so you need to make sure you drive it proud. Make sure you check the other boards as well, can never have to much info on the Lightning.

Congrats and welcome to our FAMILY

Just enjoy your new truck and any problems you confront, the membership will be more than willing to help you out.

Hell, if you provide me with round trip tickets, I'd be more than happy to give your truck a first class run thru

Does anyone find themselves reading his posts with a swiss accent in your head? I do.

Anyways, there is nothing negative about the truck. I got mine about a month ago and still love to drive as much as the first day. I find myself going places just to drive, and I have a police car that I can drive around for free. But I cant leave the L at home. It is too much fun to drive. Good luck, you will love the truck.

Please dont think I was bustin on your english, I think its great. I just found myself reading as if I could hear you talking.

What color truck did you get.
Also, I just put a Bassani exhaust system on my truck. It is very worth the money, these trucks can sound awesome.

What kit did you get BX or stainless? Sorry I had to ask on this thread but you don't except emails. '

Swiss Guy you will love the power these trucks can put out. Plus they don't handle very bad either.

Good Luck!

I got the bx.. Its a couple hundred cheaper, and looks the same from the tips. Same exact performance and sound. If you live where it snows, it will probably rust over the years from the salt. I am in Florida, so I dont have that issue.

I went through Mark at LFP. $440 shipped, good deal, fast friendly service.
