Today i went back to the trach and 1st run i landed a 13.1, 2nd run 13.00, 3rd run 12.98, the 4th run a 12.86

I think my next investment will be a set of slicks.

 

Congrats!! What were your 60FT times? I'm hoping to be in the 12's with my current mods. Do you have HP and TQ #'s?

 

 

I have not had my truck on the dyno yet. I do not know where to take it. I need some one who can make a custom tune for my predator.

Also when i was making my runs i noticed some detonation towards the end of the track. Is that a bad thing? I retarded the spark 5% and 10% richer. I didnt seem to have problems after that.

 

JLP tuned your truck? Sounds odd that you would have any problems. I heard that JLP makes good tunes.

with that 60 foot under 2.0 and your 106 mph I dont think slicks will help any at your current power level.

 

Might want to think about Nitto's before you make the jump to slicks. Even slicks will only drop about 0.2 off your ET, if you are trapping at 106. Once you get in the 110+ range, time for slicks.

And why are you adjusting your tune? Get a custom tune from JLP if you don't have one already and you shouldn't have to screw with it on the predator.

 

i have a custom tune from jlp. when i first put the pully on he had sent me a new tune for my predator. this tune detonated bad and i just emailed him and he sent a new tune. this tune seemed to have fixed the problem. but at the track i did notice the slite detonation.

 

very nice times, I was stuck at 13.2 until I put on my lakewoods and hit 12.8 @ 104 VIA JLP tuned. He makes great tunes and my A/F was 12.0.
