2 Keep the leaf or remove the leaf that is the question?

OK I am am close to a 2" drop in the front and close to 4" in the rear of my 03. I would like to drop 1" more around(currently 17.5" from center to well front and back) and I was wondering what would be the best move here from the lowered 03/04 crowd.

1. Do I try and obtain the extra inch in the back by adjusting on the shackle up one? Will I actually get 1" from that?

2. Do I go ahead and remove one of the leaf springs(middle)?

How much are you actually seeing by removing one of the leafs as far as drop?

Is it true that the ride is actually a little better? Im not to worried about additional axle wrap since I do have a set of JLP bars.

Just wanted to see if I could soften up the back end a bit and get my desired additional drop?

If I am near 5" lowered in the back is the desired pinion angle -2/-3?

Just want to see what you all have done and make sure my ducks are in a row. Thanks.

At this point the back has been dropped 3.5" via hanger/shackle and with a different shim put not completely sure the angle. How much more of drop will you see removing a spring? An inch, inch plus? Thanks.

yes about 1.25........ drive "nice" because it will oversteer easier because shock valving will not match the spring rate.

good deal. If removing a leaf spring does net me about 1.25" more drop that would give me about 4.75" in the back total. Thats close enough for me. What is the desired pinion angle for that? -2/-3? I dont know. thanks guys
