I've got two Mass. buddies with 03's that dropped 2". One went the extra mile of removing one of the leaf's. With 2" drop Belltech springs, the 2" shackles with leaf removed looked awesome on his 03. (He had the hitch, but not tire removed).

Be warned that after lowering, you'll notice within a couple of months that you need new shocks set up for a dropped L. (especially with the roads around here)

Doesn't somebody make a 3" shackle that can be set to either 2 0r 3 drop?
I thought maybe JL did, but I could be wrong...

I think 3" would be about right for an 03.

I believe JL makes a 2 and a 3. the 2" has two holes to choose from, while the 3" has at least 3 holes to choose from. the 3" shackle just seems like an awfully long shackle. I wonder if the rear end sways more because of it?

I have an 03'with 2" drop shackles. I took a before and after measurement and it actually dropped it an inch and a half. Also, I just replaced my rear shocks one was leaking. I don't know if it was from the drop or the 1200#'s of ceramic tile I had in the back.

The frpp kit comes with 3" shackles. And that's what I used on mine. Also, there is a 4" shackle out too.

btw: when I removed weight with my 1-3 drop.... it looks just about looks like it did back when it was stock.

I'd like to drop some more weight as well. I want to go with dark/charcoal grey carpeting. Is there a layer of material, like for sound deadening that I can remove?
