Dash of Lightning

I see all kinds of billet for Chevy Trucks but hardly anything for the BOLT.

I am a big fan of the early GTOs that have wood with engine turned trim. Also the Trans Am had engine turned trim in the dash.

So the question: Can the plate around the tape/radio on my '99
Lightning be chromed ? How about billet for the A/C plate below the radio controls.

I would like to plate them chrome and/or billet and paint the trim ring around the radio/ac vents controls factory red as well as the cover under the steering wheel factory red for balance. I find the stock dash ok but slightly boring.

Any one really fix up the dash really nice ? Any cool steering wheels that will look good ? Any reason they don't make much stuff for F150 ?

I would love to see pictures of the most outstanding interior of a Lightning for ideas. Any tips appreciated.

Thanks.

there are tons of interior items for our trucks. Most are kinda tacky IMO, but some of it is worth while.

agreed if it does not look exactly right stock is much better.
I didn't like the stainless steel dash panel for the tach/speedo
area i found on e-bay ..(it might look ok, but it 's not right on the money) like most of us a very little thing can bug me no end.
Either its right or its NOT. An individual part may be fine but does it flow with the rest of the look you're going for.

I found a place that will make a billet plate that replaces the
square plate that covers the radio/tape player. $125.00

Can anyone tell me how to get the old one off ? Do I have to remove the radio after removing the Bezel ???

Tx
