traction bars

my brother has a 2000 L and was planning on investing in some traction bars. He wants to get some good ones of course and we have found some lakewoods that are $100, but we are debating to get them or not because we are wondering if it would be worth spending the extra money for a 300 dollar pair instead of buying poor quality ones... any advice for him?....the cheaper the better of course....but he wants the quality too!
thanx

Instant center... Basicly you want the fulcrum point as far fwd as is possible. See the pic on my web page of me launching and you'll see what I mean. The whole truck sitting on the rear tires is much more effective than say.. 30% of it.

The LFP 58'' Torque Arm Bars are $299.00 and are extremely Heavy Duty Bars that will eliminate wheel hop and axle wrap, the Lakewoods will not.
