JLP EATON PLENUM
JLP EATON PLENUM
Here's the Dyno results of Our NEW JLP Plenum for the Eaton SC! We gained 10-11 hp! 25 ft.Trq! Over the stock plenum,We @ JLP Knew it was going to be a very hard thing to try and make more power than the stock plenum.(Ford isn't Stupid). We also knew *if* we did make more power it probably wouldn't be by a huge amount. We were right we made 10-11 more HP and 25 ft.Trq! Now to some that might not be a lot of power,But if you look @ Dyno Graph you will see how the JLPP made a huge difference in the HP & more importantly TORQUE from the start all the way to about 5,200 rpm's(112mph)..after 5,200 rpm's it was about dead even except maybe we made around 2 more hp!.From the years of tuning these truck ive learned these trucks are very HEAVY and the Quicker we can make more TORQUE down Low The better the 1/4 mile times will be!..So all and all we are happy with the results.ofcourse we would have loved to have seen Bigger #'s But we didn't.(Just giving the truth)..Huge #'s? Maybe Not.But we did gain Alot of low end torque!.And that i believe will net Lower E.T.'s.....JL

This is the point I have tried to convey over and over again, to the members in the Superchargers and Turbochargers section of this site.........some of them, just don't get it!
Look forward to seeing the results with the monster 3.3 Whipple twinscrew!

Should be a guideline that all testing done on new mods includes a "basic" bolt on truck... chip 4# filter, etc., the most common setup out there, as well as higher level trucks. Complete mod list should be included in these posts too... since its often the combination of upgrades that impacts results more than a single piece.
Would also be nice to know if any tuning was done post-install. Whos to say the tune wasnt "maximized" to begin with, and thats where part of the gains come from?
Not trying to be negative, I appreciate the fact that Lightning tuners are always working on new products, you guys get a
from me for that, would just like to see some consistency in the reported testing before I crack open the checkbook.
