ok, so i see an srt-10 about 1/4 mile in front of me, so i catch up to him and get right beside him, turn off the overdrive and start hopping on the gas, he doesnt move, so im thinking maybe he doesnt see or hear me, probably not possible so ok, i get behind him, beep my newly installed train horn at him then get on his left so he can get an earful of bassani, still nothing, we get the red light, he wont even inch up with me, but i got a good launch just in case he was going to try and pull one of those haha you werent paying attention so i win things, but nope, nothing, so i got bored got about 10 car lengths behind him and just launch a fly by. WHY DO THESE PEOPLE BUY A 50,000 DOLLAR SPORT TRUCK AND NOT RACE THEM?!?!? WTF MATE!!!! the only things that race me are these dumb little hondas with fire extinguishers bigger than their blocks hanging from the a pillar...Yawn....

 

Maybe because he was smart enought NOT to race on the street. Some people have a little more common sense.

I had some idiot in a crew-cab Dakota doing the same thing to me a few months ago. I didn't bite. I thought about calling the police, but didn't because they were already there. ---He had red and blue lights on his roof

i saw one when i was driving my dads L, he was eyeing me but didnt go further than that. it was some old guy anyways

 

Hell, I couldn't get either one of two SRT's that were at Bradenton to race me, but I was running mid-12's to their low 14's (the black one did get a 13.8 after 3 passes). Woulda been nice to get it on camera though, too bad they chickened out.

 

Because they read the magazine articles, and it states that the srt-10 is the fastest production truck avaliable. They feel that there is no need to race, because the magazine says their truck is top dog. It would be Kinda like a hemi or civic wanting to race you, most of us would race them, but some of us would just laugh and go about our business.

 

I think some of these guy's with the SRT-10 look down on our "ALL MIGHTY LIGHTNINGS". You know how you feel when a car or truck that has a better chance of winning the Daytona 500 than out running a Lightning pulls up next to you and starts with the revving. I think most of these guy's that buy the Viper truck get caught up in all the hype surrounding them, the t.v comm' that shows the truck blowing the doors off other vehicles. I went to look at one and the salesman didn't know I had a Lightning, and I asked him how the SRT-10 compared to the Lightning. He went on to tell me that the Lightning was a joke compared to the Dodge. He also said it would be a waste of gas to even race a Lightning.He thought the SRT-10 is more advanced and faster, that to even look over at a Lightning is just ridiculous. After biting my tongue while this jackazz downed my beloved Lightning, I then informed him that I drove a Lightning. And then went on to school him about the power of the Lightning.I guess a big wig heard our conversation and thought he would add his 2 cents. He said to get there power Ford took a outdated truck and motor and added a supercharger, and Dodge did it all on motor.At this point I was getting heated, and I said the Dodge's body style was older than the Lightning and with a $50,000 price compared to the L's price, you would be crazy to buy there truck.I told them with my few boltons I could spank there SRT. Then they came back with what they all say " I can put on some boltons to" I could see I was out numbered and getting nowere so before it got any worse I left. And then in front of them and all the customers I left 2 long black marks and a big cloud of smoke to remember me by.So the attitude these guy's have sometimes start out with these dumd azz salesman! All that matters is we know what we have. Sorry for the long RANT!

 

Maybe he didn't notice you. I can tell you that I have had guys try to get me to race, but it took me a couple lights to catch on...LOL. If I have my music going and my mind wondering, you could blow up a fricking bus beside me and I may not notice.


Just a thought...I know I have been guilty of day dreaming while driving.

Not to get off topic here but I am the "5-0 " as well as owning a pretty quick truck too. Yes, I get on it from time to time but if I get pulled over for something that I did then it's nobody's fault but mine and I wear it. You however are an a$$hole for making a comment like that. If you got a pair big enough to post that on here then next time you get pulled over, make sure you say that to the cop. I wanna see the look on your face when he pulls your smart a$$ out of the window by your neck - I know I would!

Dont mean to ruffle any feathers but I cant stand when people say stupid sh*t on the boards that they know would never fall out of their traps in real life!

 

HI!... I'd say it! Oh wait I have! LOL! Then some stuff happened and the *PIG* got charges filed against him and was suspended without pay. Don't be affraid of cops. Most of them around here are just egotistical punks with guns. They mouth of to me, I mouth off back. They don't like it, call my lawyer and he'll chew you up and spit you out, plain and simple. Been there done that.........many times.

 

So, it's OK to physically assault someone that has a smart mouth?? I think you know as a peace officer that it's not accepted, even if they deserve it.
I like you always accept responsibility for my actions, so if I get caught I try and remain calm and deal with the situation at hand. Usually the officer doesn't become emotionally involved and is professional, just doing his job!
